For a real high, overnight at the Boone KOA, the highest KOA east of the Mississippi at an altitude of nearly 4,000 feet. Nature and comfort meet here, a spot with long pull thrus under tall trees, a pool, mini golf, arcade games and even a farm animal mini zoo, all set atop a scenic mountain just 4 miles from city services. Hike miles of footpaths on rugged Grandfather Mountain, the highest peak in the Blue Ridge Range. Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, which winds mere minutes from your campsite.
